Oregon Winegrowers Association
Your Event Hosts
The Oregon Winegrowers Association advances and protects the investments of its members. Harnessing the power of state-wide consensus, the OWA stands as a vital advocate for the health, growth and economic sustainability of Oregon's wine grape growing and wine production community. The OWA is the premier statewide organization speaking on behalf of Oregon's vineyards and wineries to decision-makers in Salem and Washington, D.C. to ensure the community's continued success.
OWA was founded in 1981 with the merger of Umpqua and Willamette Valley industry groups that recognized the power of a collective statewide voice. OWA has been delivering strong results for the industry ever since, including Oregon’s DTC shipping laws, low or no wine tax rates, land use laws for winery activities and events, and wine and grape research at Oregon State University to name just a few. In the 1990s OWA helped found what is now known as the Oregon Wine Symposium to provide a forum for collaboration and information exchange within the Oregon wine community.
