Q. What are the convention center and OWS doing to keep everyone safe during the pandemic?

A. The Oregon Winegrowers Association is committed to providing a safe environment for our industry at the 2022 Oregon Wine Symposium LIVE. We are staying up-to-date and will follow the recommended CDC, State and Local guidelines for safe gatherings. We will notify our guests of any changes but at this time we intend to gather, in-person, at the Oregon Convention Center and will implement all necessary safety measures onsite in coordination with the venue.

 

The OCC has announced that it has achieved the Global Biorisk Advisory Council® (GBAC) STAR™ accreditation, the gold standard for facilities. The OCC has also implemented safety protocols in regards to the Covid-19 pandemic that includes proof of full vaccination or a negative COVID-19 PCR test result within 72 hours of the first day of an event, in addition to the state mask requirement. Q. What is the difference between the OWS virtual education event and the LIVE in-person event?

A. The LIVE in-person show is hosted by the Oregon Winegrowers Association and will be held at the Oregon Convention Center March 8-9, 2022. There will be educational programming, networking, a trade show and much more.
The virtual education event is hosted by the Oregon Wine Board. More information can be found here. 

 

Q. Will the sessions be recorded?

A. Yes, recordings of the six main sessions will be released after the event for a nominal fee.

 

Q. How are lunches going to be handled at OWS LIVE?

A.  Over the years we have received feedback from attendees and vendors about an interest in taking colleagues and clients to lunch. On Day 1 we are encouraging attendees to support the Portland culinary scene hard hit by COVID or attendees can purchase a boxed lunch to eat on-site. Boxed lunches will be provided on Day 2 along with programming and are included in the ticket price.
